Any Troops or Crews interested in the new Scuba BSA program should contact Denis
Boulanger. Denis has instructed the program at several YMCA's in Houston, Lone Star
College & Gander Mtn. Scuba BSA is a recognition program consisting of 1 1/2 hours of
classroom and 1 1/2 hours of pool training. Denis will bring the classroom training to your
unit for one evening. He then asks that you travel to a designated pool, on a Saturday or
Sunday afternoon, where he has arranged for the use of an indoor pool for the water
training. The program is open to all scouts, leaders and parents.
If you are interested in the program, please contact Denis through this website and he will
give you all of the information. The cost of the program is $10 per person, which is to be in
the form of a check as a donation to the council for $10. Denis will provide all materials
and equipment.
After completion of the Scuba BSA recognition program and come to the conclusion that
Scuba is fun, exciting, and something that you'd like to pursue than your next step is the
full certification SCUBA DIVER course. Discounted rate for Boy Scouts is $250.oo
