Open-water certification. Spring & Fall semester classes meet on Monday's & Wednesday's from 5:00pm-6:
20pm. Summer semester classes meet Tuesday's and Thursday's from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A minimum of four
pool sessions will usually complete all pool requirements. For Open-Water certification two sessions (open-
water weekend) will be held in Huntsville at the Blue Lagoon on " T/B/D " from 8:00am – 1:00pm. Additional
lab fee of $120 and a book package of $65 is paid to JUST FOR DIVERS. Entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon is
$16/day. C-card fee is $20. All equipment needed for all pool sessions is provided. Acquisition of personal
gear (mask, snorkel,fins & booties) needed for open-water weekend only. Check out student discounts at JUST

KINE 1151 - BASIC SCUBA DIVING: 1 Credit (3 hrs.lab.) Basic SCUBA Diving is an aquatic activity skill course with emphasis on instruction and practice of basic
techniques of SCUBA. It includes an introduction to the safety aspects and concepts of SCUBA. Certification is included in the course, but not required for completion
of the course for credit. (3601085423) Prerequisite: Ability to swim.
KINE 1152 - ADVANCED SCUBA DIVING: 1 Credit (3 hrs.lab.) Advanced SCUBA Diving involves participation in and demonstration of advanced SCUBA techniques,
including specialty training in compass and natural navigation, perfect buouancy, search and recovery, limited visibility and night diving, and computer diving.
